Dr. Brian Yamamoto

Treating your family how we would treat our family since 1985.

Dr. Brian E. Yamamoto has been practicing dentistry since 1980.  After graduating from University of California Dental School, he served as a general dentist in the U.S. Army initially at Ft. Wainwright and also at NTC Ft. Irwin.  In 1985, he entered private practice in Fairbanks where he has practiced to the present day.   His philosophy in treating patients has remained the same over these many years. That is, "to provide quality care at the highest standard to patients of all ages, as well as educating patients in maintaining their oral health".

Preventive Dentistry

Dr. Yamamoto and staff place a high emphasis on preventive dentistry. This includes the placement of sealants for children under the age of 14 as well as topical fluoride after children's cleanings. Nightguard placement for the prevention of wear, erosions, and TMJ dysfunction. Snoring appliances to help prevent sleep apnea with related risk for stroke and heart attack.

Childrens Dentistry

Dr. Yamamoto treats lots of children from ages 3 to 16. Getting your child use to the dentist is important and should begin at an early age. Each child is different and we make our first visits a fun experience for the child. We can gradually increase what we are able to accomplish in a non-threatening way over time to acclimate the child to dental procedures.

I can personally attest to Dr Yamamoto's professional demeanor and outstanding clinical and diagnostic abilities As a board certified periodontist, several years ago I had the pleasure of closely working with Dr Yamamoto. His treatment planning and clinical skills following my periodontal therapy were outstanding. In addition to his clinical acumen, his rapport, chair side manner, and sterile techniques were outstanding. I would, without any reservation, recommend Dr Yamamoto.

I practiced in the Fairbanks area for over forty years. After I sold my practice I did locum tenens in several offices in the Fairbanks and North Pole areas. I was impressed with the quality of Dr. Yamamoto's work. His staff was professional and friendly and his office has to be among the cleanest in town. It was an honor to be a part of his office.
